About the Journal

Cendekiawan: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Studi Keislaman is a regular scientific journal published by the Zia Research dan Publication Sub, under licensed Yayasan Zia Salsabila, since 2022.

Based on the increasing number of publication enthusiasts in Cendekiawan: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Studi Keislaman, the Editorial Team has agreed that since 2025 it will be published four times a year in January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December according to changes on the official ISSN page. All published manuscripts use Mendeley as a citation manager and Plagiarism Checker & Turnitin as a plagiarism filter.

Cendekiawan: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Studi Keislaman is a leading journal focusing on the study of multiple intelligences of students and contemporary Islamic studies. This journal accommodates holistic and progressive scientific research and discussion in the realm of formal, informal, and non-formal Islamic education, with coverage including the integration of digital technology and Islamic metrics, inquiry-based learning and STEAM to shape critical-Islamic character, teacher competency development and innovative AI-based assessment, to studies of spirituality, social inclusion, and classical Islamic philosophy in the contemporary context. This journal emphasizes a comprehensive approach that integrates spiritual, moral, intellectual, and academic dimensions, so as to be able to answer various contemporary challenges in Islamic education and open up a space for scientific dialogue that is rooted in the treasures of Islamic knowledge while being adaptive to global developments.

The uniqueness of this journal is that it focuses on educational studies and Islamic studies in the Asian region, with a focus on the study of children's education in families, madrasas, schools, and Islamic boarding schools, as well as the multiple intelligences of elementary school children.

The distribution of authors continues to increase. Initially, Volume 1 (2022) and Volume 2 (2023) featured authors from various institutions in Indonesia. Volume 3 (2024) featured authors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and the Russian Federation. Volume 4 (2025) also featured authors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, and Turkey. This demonstrates increasing progress each year.
